Planned to stop and pick up takeout but decided to dine in. Good move! We enjoyed the chili nachos appetizer but the star of the show was the wedge salad (I ordered it with the brisket add-on). I ended up not even touching the brisket and bringing half of the salad home. It was very good; I am looking forward to enjoying it leftovers for lunch. My wife loved her pulled pork sandwich and coleslaw. A little pricey but the quality of the food is excellent. I think we'll walk over next time so I can sample some of the adult beverages and not worry about being the designated driver.

Delicious barbecue, great hot sauce, good beer, good atmosphere. Update: they no longer offer the bottles of hot sauce (for serious spice-heads). However, while not being overly hot, their house made hot barbecue sauce is quite tasty and will be plenty hot for most people. Also, I just noticed that I didn't mention the service in my first review: excellent service!

If you're looking for mouth-watering BBQ in the South Portland/CE area, look no further than Elsemere! Friendly staff. Good portions. Succulent BBQ that falls off the bone, melts in your mouth, and has you reaching back for more. Can vouch for the brisket, pulled pork, sausage, and ribs - all are fantastic. Hell, even the sides and cornbread are good. Prices are a little high, but in line with everything else in that area (too high). Highly recommend!
