Love this place. Great home style cooking and awesome service. Regardless of how busy they most often are, they provide very fast and personable service. You know if the locals frequent the place its got to be good. The owner, Peter has kept the tradition alive, that you are not just a customer, you are family. Its very rare to find a restaurant now days where the servers care enough about you to remember you. But this awesome wait staff go far and above that and after only a couple of times remember you by name and are happy to see you again. The kitchen staff are the same. They take personal care in preparing your food and they sure give portions you won't find anywhere else. I highly recommend George's Southside for a great start to a great day.

Really enjoyed & appreciated dining here. Was informed this was an old truck stop diner that’s still going strong. Locals eat here more so now, as I believe that with the introduction of new age truck stops with their fast food additions, the newer generation can’t seem to comprehend true trucker dining. Food is good & plentiful in proportion and ample room to park a truck across the street. Next time through, take the time to give it a try & see how the old way of trucking was & how less stressful it’ll make you by doing so.

Had not been in there for awhile. I had breakfast the overnight cooked just right,wonder where they got the bacon from crispy and delicious, grits done just right not salty. Waitress one of the best. If stars would go higher I would give them a 10
