This place used to be a little more expensive than other places. Now, in 2022, this place is one of the best deals in Hilo! Quality, quantity, relative affordability, signature dishes. Hawaiian Style Cafe checks all the boxes! I cannot say enough good things about this Big Island staple. If you know, you know. If not, go find out for yourself before the wait times go through the roof!

This place is so good. There's a guarantee you're going to have to wait, but an even bigger guarantee that the food will be worth the wait. I had the beef stew and garlic chicken. The beef was extra tender and flavorful, and the chicken had the perfect flavor and crunch. We tried to go back a second time, but the wait was a little long for the folks in our group. That just speaks to the quality of the food and customer service that everyone recognizes.

We ended up here by chance after visiting The national park and we could not have been happier! Everything we tried was delicious, high quality, and well seasoned. Good price for the portion sizes and even my little sisters kids meal was delicious and a great portion. Wish I could give it an even higher rating!!
