We just took a road trip to Palestine and found Home Grill Steakhouse. They had the best steaks -- tender, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Very tasty dinner rolls. We liked it so much we went back. Amazing chicken fried steaks, catfish and grilled shrimp. With a menu to suit everyone, I for sure recommend this restaurant.

Do not waste your time or your money. We were first timers and right off the bat you could tell they didn’t want to serve you. I ordered a beer to drink, asked if they had lime. I was told no in a super quiet voice. So I politely said, ‘you don’t?’ And the guy said no, well I’m going to have to go cut some up if you want lime. Yes, I want lime. Then me and my son both ordered catfish baskets. Big mistake! It was so gross. It was all red or black, and tasted like I was eating a raw fish. We are avid catfish lovers, and this was by far the worst I’ve ever had. The only thing good I ate today were the cheesesticks (the ones that actually had cheese in them) and the mac and cheese. My sons mashed potatoes look like they’ve been sitting out all day. Hard and crusty on the outside. All around gross. I’m not typically one to complain about food or service, but both lacked here this evening. There was a girl who I asked for a refill- she failed to bring it. I then asked for extra napkins- and she failed to bring those. There were literally three tables being served. I watched her bring extra napkins and serve everyone else. Don’t waste your money. Our ticket for 3 was over 80 dollars. Such a waste!!!!

Great food and great service. I had the chicken fried steak and grilled broccoli. It was a great experience and I would recommend you try this place out! They also have a full bar and reasonably priced.
