I love this place so much! Their coffee and teas are delicious and their food is sublime. I haven't liked everything I've tried, but I think that's just my particular taste. What I have had and liked, I've wanted more and more of, so that definitely outweighs any bad.
The owner is so kind and delightful. Every interaction with her has been amazing. The people that work there are the best! Everyone should try it out at least once. You'll probably be hooked and want to go at least once a week!
I moved away and this is one of the places I miss most!

I really wanted to love this place. It is so cute, and I really appreciate someone bringing a restaurant like this into an unexpected location. We had a few things and the pastries were delicious but the sandwiches were strangely seasoned, lacking salt, but overly spicy. I will give this another shot, but it may be a better breakfast spot? Future update promised!

The Almond Croissant might be the best pastry I’ve ever had.
Same with the breakfast burrito.
Bread for sandwiches is made fresh every morning and avocado toast is also top tier. Easily the best breakfast food and pastries I’ve had in Kansas City. 10/10

To be honest, this is absolutely one of THE best coffee shops in the metro. I have been trying different coffee shops around and Housewife KC is EASILY in the top 3, if not number 1 in my books. The coffee is delicious, the pastries are HANDS DOWN NUMBER ONE, and the food is outstanding, all made from SCRATCH. One thing I believe Housewife has over ANY other coffee shop I have visited is that the aesthetic is beautifully made right for the city feels, but the service has that personal, small-town touch to it. They know people by name and are passionate about serving the best to their community. Their prices don't differ much from any other coffee shop, and trust me, you will WANT to pay for their food. There is something on the menu for everyone to like! This place is anointed with a love and joy beyond other places.

Housewife is well worth the drive to Grandview. It's a special gem. First, let's start with the space -- it's charming! You can choose to dine on the first floor or the patio, but the hidden jewel is the upstairs dining area. If you like the feel of a New York City loft, you'll love eating upstairs. Then there's the food. Every item is homemade, delicious and made with love. I recommend eating in, as well as taking some of their delicious bakery items home. Housewife is a wonderful addition to the Kansas City dining scene.
