Was in town visiting my daughters & we came here. I’ve always said if you go to a restaurant & you can walk straight to the counter meaning there’s no line, LEAVE! I should’ve followed my own advice but I was trying to support black businesses. The food was just as nasty as the customer service. I ended up some roughly $150 just for my family & I not to like ANYTHING & have to go somewhere else. I had the ox tails for $30 & got nothing but bones & gravy. The macaroni was bland. The yams tasted like they came out a can. 1 daughter had ribs & they were thick & tough. I could go on & on but I’ll just say this save your money & go somewhere else or cook at home

Well when I walked in a door I was not sure it was the right entrance door. The staff seem to be a little chaotic. I didn't understand the way to order. Sides first the then the meat. Seems out of order. There's no way to order only a part or specific items. The atmosphere felt kind of cold hurry up order and go. No one to make the service smooth and inviting to come back. We try to frequent black owned businesses when possible. I do recommend to people that's interested in soul food to visit you guys. Your reputation starts when people walk in the door. I do plan to return I love soul food. Someone's opinion.

It has been years since I’ve eaten at This Is It, and it definitely won’t be years until I eat there again. Everything was delicious! I got oxtails, dressing, macaroni and cheese, and yams. My only complaint is... I should have gotten two plates. Yum!

Very tasty home cooked style soul food. Large portions, quality food at reasonable prices. The sweet potatoes can not be beaten, they could pass for dessert! The gravy is amazing. I get 2 full meals from a to go plate. The Ox Tail, Pork Chops and Beef Ribs are my favorites, but everything is yummy!
