Came here with my Boys to enjoy night meals. Awesome place to relax. Outstanding food and service! Authentic, well-cooked food. Staff goes out of their way to be helpful and to make you feel welcome. If you visit there, ask of Nick E. He’s good at serving customers and making you feel at home. The T-Steaks, Fish Salmon & others were excellent. Will definitely be returning soon.

Taste of Texas never disappoints. The steaks are always delicious and cooked perfectly (medium rare in my case). If it's your first time consider taking advantage of selecting your cut from the kitchen, and even if you cam for the steak, give the salad bar a shot, it's great. The staff is friendly, restrooms are clean, and atmosphere is very Texas. The holidays are especially cozy with the fireplace and traditional decorations. Be sure to check out the gift shop if you have time. Also, they usually have good gift card promotions around holidays.

This by far is the best steak house in Houston as far as I am concerned. The food and staff are amazing. The Christmas decorations are magical if you can visit for the holidays. I have been coming here for years and have a wonderful experience without fail. It is my all time favorite place to tell people about when new to the area. The owners are generous and you can tell the treat their staff well. I am glad they now take reservations. Taste of Texas is never a mistake!
