I kept hearing great things about Hy's, so I tried it. I think my expectations exceeded my reality. Don't get me wrong, it was good. But not blow my mind $400+ for two people good. I know people swear by it. And it's considered the best Steak house in Hawaii. But I had much better steak for the fraction of the price. Our server was great, He explained everything even while making our dessert table side. I do not regret going and glad I could say I did. I personally did not think it was the best.

This place is absolutely amazing! Classic fine dining steakhouse, with a stunning selection of wines and steak entrees including a steak special. We ordered the steak special for the day, the house red, and the oysters Rockefeller. Everything was delicious! It's also no wonder they won the 2021 gold medal for service in Honolulu magazine, the waiter had his own assistant to ensure that our table had constant service. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to celebrate any special occasions.

I just had the best meal on the island at Hy's. We had the filet and a prime rib and I can't stress this well enough it was worth every penny. For our sides we had mash potatoes and green beans. Every thing from the streak to sides were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The room we ate in had beautiful Tiffany stain glass on the ceiling and beautifully carved wood from Philadelphia. The staff here go above and beyond expectations for their guests and treated us like royalty. My drink was always full and they made sure we were well fed and properly attended to. I can't stress this enough, this is a must go while in Waikiki.
