Joe's Italian Bistro is a local Italian diner that fits the stereotypical strip shopping center Americanized version of Italian food. With that being said, the food is pretty decent. When my daughter and I had a regular weekday lunch there, there were four older ladies having a get together there talking about their life and family (I tried not to eavesdrop...but they spoke very clearly to my table)...which is really what a restaurant is all about (shared experiences over meal). In regards to our meal, the pizza is pretty good (I did enjoy the anchovies...which is not typically served at other establishments), though not memorable. My daughter thought her children's portion of lasagna was tasty. So overall, it is a nice place to go if you live in Allen and want something local and Italian as well as desire something other than Olive Garden.

UPDATE: They allow customers to sit in the waiting area without masks. No longer willing to order from here due to failure to follow state orders regarding COVID. Love coming here for date night. It is small and cozy with great service. The food is good and a great value. The staff is very accommodating if you make alterations to your order.

Absolutely loved this place. It’s a hometown small non chain pizza and Italian food eatery. The service was great and they were very quick. The food was great and the prices were very reasonable. We will be coming back again with the family.
