I did not get to eat here, but I did have a few beers in the bar. The servers were excellent and the place was comfortable. Local beers were available along with what seems like a pretty good bourbon selection. The food that I did see looked great and they serve these huge rolls. Not sure I will ever get back to Eau Claire but this seems like a great place to eat.

Staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. The portions are perfect for the price. Warning if you get the "Taste of Italy" appetizer, get the light portion for just two, because the original is very large!

I ordered the Portobello Steak Sandwich for lunch. The sirloin in the sandwich was stringy and tough. The bun turned mushy on the bottom. The meat is cut into pieces. As it was stringy you couldn’t take a bite of your choosing. Rather you ended up with a tough chunk of meat to chew on. To me there are too many ingredients, which makes the bun soggy. Live and learn. Also lousy beer selection.

Simply delicious food. I had never tried beer & cheese soup so I got a sample! Delicious but too rich! Loved the bourbon-rubbed salmon made with Superior - Fresh locally raised salmon with 2x omega-3 of other farmed salmon and right from WI. Fresh!!!!

I really want to be excited about Johnny's, but I've been probably 4 times and have left disappointed each time. I got a goat cheese salad this last visit and added salmon. Every other goat cheese salad I've had uses the lightness of goat cheese crumbles to compliment the other flavors. This gave me two fried goat cheese pucks with bits of pecans added into the fried breading. There was a paucity of other flavors or textures with the exception of julienned apples. I'm not sure if a dressing was present or not -which is a problem too. The salmon was well cooked, but salty. Perhaps salted like a steak. So, eh a bit disappointing for the price and expectation.
