We've been coming here for years! The food is great, with refills of chips and an expansive menu. I've never had a bad meal. They have live mariachi on certain nights, deals on margaritas, and other specials. I could seriously eat the chicken tacos with rice every single day if I could get away with it. They have recently expanded with an outdoor patio as well. I would like to point out the restaurant is quite dark and lights are always low. That might be to cover up dated equipment/flooring. I am not sure, but I would like to see it brightened up a bit. It has no effect on the food but it's just quite dark. If I remember correctly, the refills on soda are limited to 1 after your first, which seems a bit odd. I go with water/Margaritas personally but this is the only restaurant I've been to in a while with a limit like that. But as I said, we love this place and go on a regular basis throughout the year.

The food lacked flavor. I remember the food here used to be amazing and full of flavor, with large portions. This last visit though, not so much. Poor service from an inattentive and grumpy server. Margaritas were weak also. Again they used to be some of the best in town. Wondered if I was served non alcoholic. Could not taste the tequila at all, even the lime mix seemed watered down. There should be a hint of tequila flavor in a margarita. There was not. After two big margaritas you should feel something. Nope. For $10 each it was a waste of money on a poor tasting drink.

This is a great place to come out to celebrate any special occasion. The outside patio with a fireplace is a nice way to enjoy the few summer days in the midwest. The interior is set up like an hacienda and is very easy to accommodate almost any size party, the way the dining room is sectioned off. The bar is nice and carries a very large variety of tequilas and a nice selection of beers. If you go on a Sunday, take advantage of the half of margaritas, they are delicious. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. The service is phenomenal, the staff does a phenomenal job keeping your glasses of water full and your table clean. The food is above average and a little more on the Tex-Mex side. The portions are slightly on the small side, but they do a good job spreading it on the plate to give it the appearance of large portion. I have to come back for a dinner and a drink on a day when the mariachi band is playing. The one last thing I would like to point out is the credit card fee. I can't believe that they don't even mention it at all. They are trying to force their customer's to pay cash.
