Scenery is amazing. They have yard games you can play before or after dinner. Your seats and table are on the sand which is fun. The food could be better in my opinion. Would rate 5 stars if the food was better. My wife received shrimp that was not cooked all the way. We did not complain however.

Stayed at the Waipouli Beach Resort down the road, and we keep coming back to Lava Lava for the island cocktails that just resonate "vacation". The food is awesome! Last time, I got the special - swordfish with garlic shrimp and risotto. Simply amazing! The staff are super friendly and helpful. It can get busy, so plan ahead because it's worth a visit!

Full disclaimer: I just had the cheesecake for take-out. The cheesecake was nicely „presented“ including a decorative flower (not in picture). Taste was amazing, only missing part was an awesome crust at the back but still, would recommend, even for 9$
