The entrance to any place is important, and Maydan does not disappoint. Hidden in an alley with a modest door. The food is unique, flavorful, and the perfect portion size. Staff was all smiles. One of my favorite aspects is the kitchen in the middle of the restaurant where you can see most items being cooked. Lastly, the Dead Sea cocktail was phenomenal!

Delicious! Friendly staff, great music, exciting open fire in the middle where the cooking takes place. Must have: Grilled carrots, eggplant with walnut and pomegranate molasses. We ate way too much. Couldn't get a reservation even a week and a half in advance, but walked in at the right time for a stool at the bar.
Update: if anything this place has gotten even better! And excellent service.

The ambiance here was fantastic. Very fun to come for dinner, it feels like you step into a whole new world.
Small plates here were very tasty, diverse flavors and textures. You get many plates here and share for the table. Highly recommend

Had an awesome experience, but I guess that's what you should expect for a Michelin star. As others have commented, you get so much food and can bring leftovers home. Of the 15 or so items, I don't think there was a single one I didn't like. Everything had so much flavor and was cooked to perfection. 100% would recommend.

Went here for a friend’s birthday. It’s a smaller, intimate-feeling space (which can get hot because of the big oven the restaurant is centered around) but we had wonderful food and service. Our server Tanisha was so nice and accommodating and helpful. For groups, the Tawle menu is the way to go. It’s a true common table experience: your party chooses two large entrees and you get all other sides, vegetables, and dips, to enjoy with it. Everything is clearly explained, including how the experience works and what each type of food contains. They were able to accommodate our friend who has a nut allergy. Make sure not to fill up on the delicious warm bread or the first small plates that come before the entrees!
