Having been going to Michael's for over a decade. This was the worst overall service ever! Waitress took drink order along with dinner order. Brought out soups (both suppose to be clam chowder) he got clam I received dumplings, rejected that. After receiving correct soup, had to ask for our beverages. Then, we were served each others beverages. Fine we can switch. Look on the counter (not under heat lamp) fish fry sitting...5 minutes later my partner's Walleye dinner comes up and waitress grabs fish fry off counter, brings both dinners to table. Meal warm, she does offer to have it redone, but they weren't taking anymore Togo orders and it was 706 pm. Also, no ketchup on the table, never came back to check on refills or anything. Another waitress asked if I needed to go container. Took it home to reheat.
We both understand staffing issues...but, we both have been in the restaurant business (front and back of the house and distribution).
It looked very much like lack of proper training and no apparent management working.
I rarely will post a bad comment, but after coming for a long time and having good experiences. This was not good.

Great food and excellent service. The polish sausage breakfast with eggs and hash browns was great. Really like the pancakes here too.

Fish fry is great and I love the big shrimp. Been getting fish fry with a baked potato and always give husband a piece of my fish. Good fush

Small family restaurant with big delicious pretty inexpensive fish fry. Great tasting other food too (yes I strongly dislike fish). Lots of seating in Booths and at tables but it's got the small town feel which I love.
