The staff was very unfriendly, no smiles at all the whole night! The hostess, our server and the other person assisting never smiled. Our server coldly said “are you done?” and took the plates, didn’t even ask if we enjoyed it. Very strange for a restaurant of supposedly that caliber. Bad vibes, not sure why they don’t seem happy throughout the restaurant, maybe it’s not a good place to work and it trickles down from the top? The food was less than mediocre. I had the scallops and they were basically a glorified Outback. 4 small under seasoned and the watermelon salad on the side had no flavor. The Venison my boyfriend had was tough and grizzly. The only good part of the evening was the cocktail I had which I can go to a bar to get. We love Eddie V’s, Ruth Chris, Counter Culture and Edison Food Lab and many other Tampa restaurants. We’ll never go back to Mise en Place. Don’t waste your night out or money, so many way better restaurants to go to.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Upscale restaurant with consistently good food and service. A bit on the pricey side, but worth the splurge occasionally. It was our anniversary, and we were given a small glass of complimentary champagne, which was nice. Also all the wait staff took the time to give us best wishes. We got two different pasta dishes and both were very tasty. We shared a beet and burrata salad, which was also good. A complimentary bread basket contained herb biscuits and well as slices of french bread. Cocktails are all over $15 each as are most glasses of wine. There are several beer choices at comparable prices to most nicer restaurants. I would recommend for special occasions, date night, etc. All in all, an excellent place for fine dining in Tampa.

My husband brought me here for Mother's Day so they had a special Mother's Day menu laid out. We had a three-course meal and it was divine. The braised short rib was my favorite along with the cheesecake. We were trying to take a selfie before we left and this young man said, No I have the perfect spot for you and he took our picture in a beautiful wine room. I loved the decor. I will definitely be returning. Kudos to my hubby for planning this all by himself.
