I've eaten here 3 times for breakfast in my business travels to DE. I've ordered 3 different things (pancakes, eggs and French toast). Each time the food came out perfect. The eggs I had were over easy and I can't tell you how many times I've ordered them elsewhere and have gotten runny whites. Not here. They were perfect. The pancakes and French toast were also very good and cooked perfectly. The servers are friendly and prompt. Can't beat that. The restaurant is very clean and it certainly has its regulars as when customers come and go, they acknowledge the other customers by name.
Definitely give this place a try if you are in the area.

Went to the Route 40 Diner just now--we love this place for consistently good breakfast. When we entered, we considered leaving because the usual buzz of busy and efficient servers was quiet with just 3 people in front of house and a dining room full of customers. We stayed and were extremely glad we did. I'm not sure if servers called out or weren't scheduled but the service was solid, the food was as expected and everyone was friendly. Great job!

Went at dinner time,got two good meals. Every thing went great, all food was hot and tasted good. Come here often. Will be back again.

First time ordering food here, my omelette was on point, nice and full. I got a veggie omelette with cheddar cheese, home fries good, great coffee, server was very friendly. Priced well. I will definitely return. I would of took a pic but I ate it too fast lol
