We arrived and we promptly seated. Great service from the front of the house as well as the server. The food was very well prepared and presented. I ordered the pork schnitzel and it was fantastic. I was a big fan of the egg on top. We also had a rissoto at the table as well and that was rated very highly!
The environment was awesome as well. It was a smaller restaurant, but the area we were seated still felt 'private'. The restaurant was a tad dark for reading the brown menus with black text, but not a huge issue.
Overall a great experience in the Fox Valley.

Rye is our go-to “something big to celebrate” date night spot. We love the food and atmosphere! The drinks are perfection and the vibe is top notch.

This is by far some of the best food I’ve had in Appleton. I went with a party of 4 and everyone loved what they ordered. I got the pork belly and thought about ordering seconds, absolutely delicious.

Food was great. I had a reservation for 10 people at 7:30pm on Saturday. We where about 8-10 minutes late to the reservation due to unexpected lack of parking in the area. Waitress seemed irritated with us from the start after I apologized to her for being late. Did not ask what our reservation was for but it was my birthday and I had people from out of town visiting me and was so excited about the night. Typically when you have a big group of people and can sense excitement, waitstaff will match your energy and celebrate with you, unfortunately I did not get that experience. She was somewhat friendly but after asking her how we could split the check she acted like my questions really bothered her. We spent $771 and tipped the 20% that was automatically charged to us I would have tipped more if service was better but I genuinely felt guilty for being there, which wasn’t a good feeling. Multiple people in my group made comments about how they feel like we where inconveniencing our waitress just by being there.
I 100% understand maybe she was just having a stressful night but I’ve been in the service industry a long time and I would be excited for a big table spending hundreds of dollars and tipping roughly $160.
I have been to this restaurant once before and came back specifically for the food. I am posting this to hopefully remind staff that customers are spending a lot of money and even if someone is younger or has a big group doesn’t make us an inconvenience (some people in my group thought maybe they wrote us off because we are in our 20s? Not sure but could have been a factor). None the less we are paying customers.
I am not planning on again coming to this restaurant with how many options we have in this area because even with great food, the service did not justify the price. I will add a new review to the restaurant if they respond in anyway to me about this complaint
*disclaimer I typically never post anything like this but I really felt the need to explain this situation

We were very disappointed in our first visit. Everything looked good on the menu and decided on two small plates and then order the Pub Burger. We order the burger medium rare, after cutting the burger we noticed it was no where near medium rare, it was beyond well done. Our server returned to our table, we brought up that the burger was no where near medium rare. She explained that they do not cook the Pub Burger to temperature because of the bread crumbs and other ingredients that they add to the meat and it would be mushy if cooked medium rare. We had no idea we were ordering a meat loaf on a bun. She should of told us upon ordering that they don’t cook to temperature, we would of ordered something different. Our server made no attempt to apologize for not informing us of their style of cooking when we specified medium rare. Our first and last visit.
