Consider this review two for one! I used to come here once a week a few years ago, and now my boyfriend and I come here almost every week. This is the best Mexican food in Madison. We have tried almost every Mexican restaurant in the Madison area and nothing beats Tapatios! The drinks, food, atmosphere and service are top notch. It’s a small family restaurant and there are moments when they are booked and busy but it is worth the wait. The owners and staff are wonderful people and very accommodating. This is and will be our go-to place for years to come!

I went in not knowing what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. It's got an inviting atmosphere and I didn't wait long to be seated. Even though it's a small restaurant it has a revolving door so you won't have to wait long to be seated. I tried their famous De Lujo Margarita which is made with top shelf Don Julio tequila. It has a smooth, sweet and sour taste to it! Also, the tacos I had were authentic to what I'd taste if I were in Texas. The meat was very tender it melted in my mouth! We'll definitely be going back there soon

I had the Jamaica margarita and it was so amazing! The flavors were outstanding! Then I had their sizzling dinner with chicken and it was served with 2 platefuls of food. It was a heavenly experience! We received a lot of attention from the servers which insured our meal was great! This is on my favorites list!
