I’ve been to the island several times visiting my in laws and we just found this place today while driving around the island. I can say without a doubt this is some of the best food I’ve had on the island. The place is so quaint and unassuming in the shadow of the beautiful lush mountain side creating the perfect place for a relaxing lunch or dinner. My husband and I got two different plates: the mix plate and the grilled sweet potato plate and both were incredible. I would recommend this to anyone looking for some authentic Island food.

My order came out all wrong, the counter staff could have been more helpful, they seemed new, so no hard feelings but I'd highly recommend asking them to read your order back to you. The issue was never resolved and I left my food behind because it wasn't what I wanted and just got a funny look from the staff. The person who delivered my food was rude and said "people usually order the plate lunch". Unfortunately I didn't order the plate lunch tho!! The menu has the same item names listed under sandwich and plate lunch, clearly this is the issue. As a 15 year food service veteran myself, it would be simple enough to empower your staff to provide better customer service, ask questions to help guests and repeat back orders. I was trying this place for lunch for the first time, my initial visit here was for breakfast, it was bland and unremarkable, so I was hoping lunch might be a better choice. I won't make the mistake to try a third time! Super bummed out by the entire experience. On top of that, I paid 31 bucks for a soda and some candy. 👎👎

Wow. Just wow. Went for lunch and was absolutely blown away. Ordered the pork and gravy with a side salad. First off, the salad was just beautiful. After several days of eating far too many veggies, a $4 salad that looks and tasted like this was unbelievable. Pork was fall apart tender, with a delicious gravy. Mac salad is very peppery and creamy. Shocked I hadn't heard of this spot before, it's fantastic
