Figured we’d give them a second try. We ordered our meals specifically requesting NO SPICY for the papaya salad and medium spicy for the beef salad. The person taking the order read back the order no problem. When we picked up the order and brought it home . I opened the container and took a fork full and starting chewing and my whole mouth was immediately burning from the spice and some I swallowed and almost immediately my throat was burning. I’m not allergic. I just don’t like my food spicy and made that very clear. So I called and asked to speak to the manager or owner. The lady that answered the phone asked me why and I repeated I needed to speak to the owner or manager. She said tell me why and I can let her know. Very quickly she was not pleasant. So I explained to her what our concerns where and she put me on hold. Meanwhile she was speaking to the owner or manager . The owner or manager came on the phone and she quickly said the order was not spicy and I told her it was and how upsetting this was. She really didn’t care only to tell me to make sure I bring back the food so they can give refund very rudely. Here’s the thing. Customers are not always right. However, in a case where the customer is explaining and being a considerate customer. And you’re telling me it’s not spicy when clearly it is way spicier than medium. It was very spicy. So I told her we were bringing back the containers for a refund and they could try it for themselves. Even my husband was coughing and he loves spicy foods. And he admitted it was very spicy. She never even apologized or acknowledge the concern. Not surprising as their reviews show that service ratings have plummet .

Crying Tiger salad is tasty and spicier than you think - it sneaks up on you. Shrimp Pad Thai - can't go wrong with this - prepared perfectly and comes out piping hot. The summer rolls, while presented beautifully, aren't as flavorful or aromatic as I expected so would skip them and go for the spring rolls or chicken satay.

Greeted immediately after patiently waiting outside like the sign says and seated at a comfortable table - then given nice cold water right away. Delicious food, among the best flavors on the entire island of Maui. Service was sweet, kind and attentive - we even had the chef come out to check on us and make sure everything tasted to our liking. Unfortunately the tourists that come here and leave 1-star reviews of small businesses drag those businesses score down. Trust the locals, tourists expect too much while being totally rude and condescending. When we were leaving a piece of garbage blew by the door outside and our server while holding the door open for us, grabbed it! They are here to Malama and we appreciate that.
