We went to breakfast here and weren't on the list for complimentary breakfast. We just wanted breakfast and this was within the resort. The staff were hesitant to even seat us. The food was ok but over priced. We got handed the check and no one came to pick up our card. After 10 to 15 minutes we went to the bar. It seemed like the staff were avoiding us and eventually the bartender took our check and card to the waitresses. Was not a great experience.

One of very few restaurants that took a reservation for 8 persons on short notice around 6pm Tuesday, nice place to see sunset though not right from the dining area. Open air setting near the pool. Not that busy perhaps because 10–15 min drive south of downtown Kona Free self parking. “Turn left before the guard booth. Please use the call box and let the security attendant know you are dining at Wailele Cafe. No valet available.” Dinner menu limited to 7 choices - the 8 of us enjoyed the first 5, did not try short ribs or ribeye. Ahi Macadamia nut encrusted Mahi mahi Tagliatelle w mushrooms Portuguese sausage w shishito peppers Roast chicken w crispy breadfruit and taro Kalbi short rib Ribeye Small but good selection of cocktails beer and wine Dessert options - No chocolate! But we enjoyed sorbet and macnut pie: Lilikoi Cheesecake Sorbet - mango, pineapple, coconut, lilikoi Ice cream Macadamia nut pie a la mode One or two more options? Our server Tracey-Ann was wonderful If they had more food and dessert selections, I’d probably rate them 5/5 stars
