Review from 2016: Wood Tavern offers a very pleasant ambiance, and great food. They have a nice selection of wines, and several good cocktails, and they keep their menu simple. I went with a group of three and we started with a round of drinks, and a couple appetizers. We had the pork belly and the risotto. Both were great, but I especially liked the pork belly. For the main course, I had the halibut, which was served with mashed potatoes and some light greens. The others at the table had the pasta with beef, and the pork chop (the pork chop was huge and came with a nice gravy, beans and bits of bacon). We were all impressed with the food, and both the service and ambiance was welcoming.

I am very satisfied with this place in general. The food is delicious, very curteus employees. They explain very well all the menu since it was our 1st time there. It looks very clean and beautiful design. The improving point, will be explaining slower for customers speaking English as a second language. I appreciated the great customer service

So they only had one option for a glass of Rose wine which I thought to be odd honestly. They serve wine at the half glass mark. My family ordered the pastrami sandwich. We also ordered the cheese board which was delicious. It was the best thing I ate there. I could have gone without the Ahi tuna salad.
