I had the sweetest experience at Coopers Hawk in Springfield, IL on August 10, 22. The young lady at the tasting bar was so kind and so helpful. We talked for a while before my sister arrived. I told her I was a club member and I was looking for suggestions for a bottle of red wine for a friend who has been fighting cancer. We talked about wine and dark chocolate having some significant health benefits. She shared a story about a friend of hers who also battled cancer. I shared that I was a seven year survivor. She gave me some ideas for wines and then we were seated for dinner. I told her I would be back. When we were getting ready to leave, the tasting bar area was very busy. I was standing by the front door saying goodbye to my family and she suddenly appeared at my side with my wine and a small box of chocolate. I did finally get over to the tasting bar to get my other purchases for my family but I didn’t get to thank her again. I wish I knew her name. What an awesome person. So kind and very helpful, thank you!!

We made reservations for dinner on Sunday evening, though they ended up not being needed. The staff was very courteous and seated us quickly. Our server was Ellie B, who was amazing! Very attentive and wonderful. The food was cooked perfectly, absolutely delicious. We ordered a bottle of wine, both got surf and turf with filet medallions (salmon and grouper), and deserts. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend visiting!

The King of the Field

This could seriously be a 5 star. Only a couple small things that held me back. I absolutely love the barrels and decor of the place. We ordered lettuce wraps and drunken shrimp as an app. Shrimp was great. Wraps were good but maybe just not to my pallets liking. My main entree was the surf and turf with Prime Churrasco Grilled Steak & Soy Ginger Atlantic Salmon. Both tasted good and were cooked to perfection. My only complaint would be that the steak felt almost “squishy”, just a little more than I’d like for a medium rare order. But the highlight? The Reese’s ice cream cookie is amazing. I could come here and only order that. MUST GET. Great, attentive service. Overall great experience
