My wife and I enjoyed the Chef’s Counter dining experience last Sunday (June 19, 2022) and had such a wonderful time! Chef Jojo took the time to explain all aspects of the food he prepared – where the ingredients were sourced, cooking techniques, why he chose certain combinations of flavors, etc. The intimate set-up really lent to fun conversation and Q&A with Chef Jojo and the other guests. Eliza also brought a lot of life and personality to the evening, not to mention impeccable service. In addition to the food being spectacular, the interactive nature of the evening elevated the entire night for us beyond a great dinner to a very memorable 2.5-hour experience. This was reinforced by the fact that two of the other couples were repeat (3+ times) visitors to the Chef’s Counter, and we will definitely be making a return the next time we are on Maui! A highlight of our trip, highly recommended!

Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. We went for dinner and had the chicken bites (crunchy and seasoned to perfection, the green house sauce was our favorite), the Asian slaw (refreshing, tasty, generous portion, even the egg was tasty), the sirloin (cooked perfectly, the rice on the bottom of the skillet becomes crunchy and soaks all the flavors as you eat!), the seared catch (cooked perfectly along with some tasty onions and crunchy green beans), and the cheese cake, which comes with an equally delicious ice cream scoop. Everything on each plate was flavorful but they also play with textures and temperatures. Service was outstanding, the staff was very kind and attentive. Place is beautiful, open, and very well ventilated. Prices for Maui are very reasonable for the quality of food you get. We loved it so much we will go back before the end of our trip.

5+ stars is the rating! W e had a wonderful Chef's dinner on Sunday night...our last night in Hawaii. A perfect ending to our vacation. Chef Jo-Jo and the staff were top-notch explaining every course placed in front of us. The food was OUT of this world...beautifully plated and adjustments made for food restrictions. He served my husband eggplant from his own garden...My heart melted right there!
