Top tier service and food!! They were the only restaurant willing to accommodate our party of 17 on short notice and they certainly accommodated us! The service was quick and accurate! The food was really good, but a bit overpriced. They also decorated a large plate and provided a candle for us to celebrate a birthday!

I had to put a new post up due to 2 VERY BAD experiences with J. Gilbert's. Took my wife here for her B-day and invited a few friends and some family. The service was terrible, the server did not know what the specials were, the food was late, cold and not the portions we have had prior. My father in-law ordered a salmon dinner, rare to med rare, all the other guest were served and my father in-laws dinner did not come out with the rest. Finally the server came back and we asked where his dinner was, please note we had all eaten our meals at this point, he said he would check on it. After about 15 minutes the salmon was way over cooked, we just asked for a box and went home, VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED. I even contacted them on their web page about this, but heard nothing, suggestion GO ELSEWHERE. AFTER HAVING A SMALL ISSUE, WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE A BIG ISSUE, WITH OCEAN CLUB, MY WIFE AND I FOUND J. GILBERT'S. WE HAD ONE OF THE BEST DINNERS THERE. WE ALSO CELEBRATED HER BIRTHDAY AND THE SERVICE, ALONG WITH THE FOOD, WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT PERFECT. THE FOOD, DRINKS AND THE PRICE REALLY SMOKE THE OCEAN CLUB. WE ARE GOING TO BE HEADING BACK TO ENJOY THIS AWESOME RESTAURANT AND WE HOPE THAT OUR DEAR FRIENDS WILL JOIN US SO THEY TOO MAY EXPERIENCE THIS DELIGHTFUL PLACE.

My wife and I took our son here to celebrate his birthday while we visited him at The Ohio State University. Everything about the experience was exceptional in every way. The server was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The ambiance was warm and comfortable, and we loved the fireplace. The food and the food presentation were both exceptional, and I am very picky about both when I’m dropping that kind of cash. Prices were as expected, and reasonable. I will definitely be back each time I’m in Columbus and in need of a fantastic meal with good friends. Highly recommend!
