For a first time taster of German food this was a great experience. The waitstaff was very courteous and answered all questions. As a vegetarian I only had sides and desserts but they were great. The applesauce was chunky and tasty and the cabbage was the best part. My partner enjoyed the sausage very much. The one complaint I have is that I asked for the strudel to be warmed up and it came ice cold. It still tasted good but I would have preferred it warm. The famous cream puff was delicious as well.

Had a family party catered July 2022. I was very pleased with the quality and amount of food provided for the price. Out-of-town family was THRILLED to be able to get their Schmidt's fix. Kristin was helpful in getting us exactly what we wanted, she responded quickly to emailed questions. Order was 100% correct, fresh and hot. The mini cream puffs disappeared in about 10 minutes ;-) I will definitely use Schmidt's again, thumbs up!

Great food, great atmosphere! We came for the live music and to celebrate a special birthday with multi-generational family and friends. Food portions are generous. We were there for an early dinner, but had to wait almost 2 hours for a group of 13 to get seated. Wonderful drink options for all ages, and don't forget the delicious deserts...cream puffs to chocolate cake. Note: we didn't rent a party room upstairs, due to the stair access for some family members; we waited for first floor dining area and the first floor doesn't accept reservations at this time.
