This place is insanely good! We were here on a trip and found this little gem. This is the best Mexican food I’ve literally ever eaten. Every single item was done right. This place would be dangerous if I lived anywhere near it. Highly recommend!!

Fun location on the lake, food was good, but the service was average. The waiter didn't know what came on the fish tacos and the menu didn't list anything except "fish tacos." The bigger con for me is that the building is starting to fall apart, a little bit of effort would make this place great. Overall not a bad experience just not great.

Lago Chapala is located in a building right on the edge of Payette lake with a beautiful view. My wife ordered the taco salad, and I had the fajitas. The fajitas were phenomenal! It came out on a steaming hot skillet as you can see in the photo. The flavor was amazing. It was served with generous helpings of rice and beans and guac and sour cream. It was way more than I could finish in a single setting. When we go again, I think my wife and I will split it and we will still both have had plenty.
