I am curious because I believe that Lombardo’s has in the last several months realigned tables. The relaxed atmosphere of prior reviews no longer exists. While they have implemented Manhattan style seating to put more chairs on the floor, they forgot one key element. Lombardo’s 2 chair tables are so deep that it is very difficult to hear your date. The food as always was wonderful. I am not going to describe dish by dish as it is irrelevant to this conversation and is a given at Lombardo’s. Disappointing was the attitude of the wait staff. All started out well, we ordered an appetizer which lived up to expectations. As did the dinners. When it came time to pay the bill there was an instant shift in attitude. This might have been caused because the noise was so loud that my date and I desired to go elsewhere for dessert….DO NOT go to Lombardo’s if you want to have a conversation of consequence!!!! The second to last slap in the face was that when I looked at the remote bill paying my options were…20%, 25%, Other, Nothing. Really…that is obnoxious. The final slap was that the staff member stood behind my right shoulder thus I knew that she was watching everything. On a $60 bill I left a $10 tip which is fair. I am certainly not going back soon.
