I never expected to give Shoney's a 4 star review. We stopped going there about 5 years ago, because the food seemed like the standard 'heat and eat' you get at so many chain restaurants. But, we live in a very small town that has limited choices if you don't feel like cooking, or driving 30 miles to a bigger selection. So, we almost tiptoed into our only choice other than fast food. We weren't surprised that the buffet was a bit skimpy, but we WERE surprised that the food on it was fresh and actually tasty! Since that night, we've been back twice! Unbelievable!
