The experience of the location is what makes this place special. The food is nothing to write home about. Although my husband's pork chop was quite tasty, and the cheesecake was good, but notice how tiny the piece is. And my salmon was tiny, too. For $36 I want to have more than 5 bites of salmon. It wasn't seasoned much, either. The couscous had very little flavor. But it was fun being on an historic boat. And we enjoyed people watching on the river. We saw a lady dip her toe and fall in (she was pulled out and was fine,) a boat full of twerkers, tour boats, 20-somethings partying. And the staff were great and provided excellent service. But they do need to do something about the flies.

My wife and I went to the Pilothouse restaurant at the Delta King for her birthday. We really enjoyed the sunset view from the Delta King and Sacramento river. The wine and burger were really good so I'm giving 4 star to that. The fish & chips I'd give 3.5 stars. The staff were super nice and friendly and I give them 5 stars :)

Nice, especially when staying in small boat style hotel rooms. Ambiance to remember. Even hotels elsewhere that cost $500 a night, don’t have the memory makers of the Delta Queen.
