My husband and I stopped by here on a Monday afternoon based on the reviews online, and I am glad we gave this restaurant a chance. We were seated quickly, and my husband ordered the three wing special with mac and cheese. I ordered the blackened fish and french fries. Our food came out within ten minutes, and whew it was delicious. Thanks for a great meal. We will return when we are back in San Francisco. Much love from Houston patrons :-)

Creole cooking! Initially I was unsure what French Soul Food meant however it is 100% Creole and outstanding. I had the chicken gumbo, thick and rich exactly how it should be, and my dining companion had the spicy chicken sandwich. He does not like very spicy and he felt this was manageable. He also said it was delicious. We will be back!

The customer service was amazing. I had to tip . I’m in transition from moving out to San Francisco from Oakland and I been craving soul food and my co worker recommended Brenda’s to me . I finally got the chance to come and it’s the best food I had in a while . The shrimp and grits was delicious I never had them the way they are prepared you can tell they are homemade. The Mac and cheese is so good it reminds me of my grandmothers Mac and cheese no lie . The fried chicken had me dancing every bit I swear the only thing I didn’t like was the greens the flavor is there but I’m a texture person and i don’t know didn’t really care for them but other then that it was just what my soul needed 🤣🤣
