Butcher and Singer is a great place to take your date. It's romantic, it's cozy, and the food is amazing. The wait staff at Butcher & Singer is friendly, knowledgeable about the menu items, and very attentive to your needs. They will even recommend wines to pair with your meal if you're unsure what wine would go best with what you ordered! I would highly recommend Butcher & Singer if you are looking for an intimate dining experience that doesn't break the bank!

I was so excited to dine here….. I was extremely disappointed. Definitely not worth the high prices…. Save your money! I can make dinner at home that’s a billion times better…. With a smile on my face. There was not one smile from any of the staff.

We have been to all of the Steven Starr restaurants in Philadelphia, Butcher and Singer is without a doubt the Crown Jewel. The moment we walked in we were impressed with the beautiful, elegant dining room with large marble columns, mahogany and polished brass all around and topped off with a magnificent chandelier. The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Everyone is so friendly and personable. Our servers name was Rick and he was just the greatest. Wonderful personality, very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. He made our dining experience 5 Starr. I started with the French onion soup and it was the best I ever had. Not salty like most other restaurants. For dinner I had the 18 oz Delmonico and it was perfect. I highly recommend the hash brown patty stuffed with onions and a mild sour cream sauce. Delicious is an understatement. Unfortunately, no room for desert,,, this time. I want to thank all the staff at Butcher and Singer for one of the finest dining experiences we ever had, especially server Rick and manager Anthony, who we had the pleasure of meeting.
