The Caramel Nut French toast is the best! Stay away from omelettes or dishes with mushrooms (boiled ...not my favorite ) They remind me of the canned variety. (Just being honest) I know fresh mushrooms take time, but also very tasty compared to these. The little bits of ham are a little too wet. Bacon in omelette was very salty. Bob's Menu on the tabletop is a great option if you don't want a full meal or want to just add a little extra something to taste. Desserts are good and should take notice. Waitress was on point! She was the best part of the experience. I will be back.

We stopped in for lunch after a morning of sight seeing. The food was delicious and our server, Wendy, was friendly and very helpful. My husband had the Buffalo Gap burger. Very flavorful! I had the Metro Chef salad. Nice selection of greens, and the ham, turkey, and boiled egg were just perfect. Thank you for a lovely lunch!

Colonial House is a great local dinner that is very conveniently located on the southern edge of Rapid on your way to/from Mt Rushmore. They offer very delicious homestyle food in several varieties with an excellent dessert menu. There is a sports bar on the premises as well with a decent alcohol selection. The dining room has a spacious layout that still allows for larger groups of people without making the room feel crowded. All around a great dining experience for anybody.

Good local breakfast place and a great break from eating the lackluster breakfast your hotel probably offers. We went here twice for breakfast. Everything we ordered was good. Service was friendly and attentive. I found the menu organized oddly and the entrees named oddly, but perhaps that's just me. If you're driving from Rapid City to Mount Rushmore then this place is on the way. No detour required.

We went on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn’t very crowded but we were impressed at how clean the restaurant looked including the bathrooms. Customer service was nice and responsive. Although they got our order messed up slightly, they fixed the issue and made it right while confirming we were satisfied through out our time their. The food was good and wait times were normal.
