I love these donuts! The homemade breakfast sandwiches are delicious also. Friendly customer service. I am disappointed by one thing (3 stars) because today when I visited, the person behind the counter picked up the donut I had chosen with his hands (no gloves) and put it in the bag. I asked "no gloves"? The other service person there said they have had a difficult time getting them. Ok, I understand that. However, why not use tongs to pick up the donuts?? Using hands forces the consumer to trust that the person touching the food has washed their hands before doing so and has not coughed or rubbed their nose - that is why the standard in food service is not touching food without gloves or a tongs (or other serving implement). The amount of diseases that can spread via hands is why this should be avoided in any setting that is selling or serving food. For instance, the person serving me was also handling raw eggs. Monster- please get on Amazon and order some tongs!

Food is tasty, but 3 of the last four times I was either given the wrong item or charged for something I didn’t order or get. It’s not like I come in during their rush and busy hours, either. I understand having an off day, but at this point I just think they need to work on their basic customer service skills

I was visiting my childhood house on N Elkhart yesterday when I decided to stop in, not realizing they were six minutes from closing. The people working were so sweet and even threw in an extra apple fritter! The cinnamon toast and lemon old fashioned donuts were delicious, and so was the fritter! I hope I make it up here again some day so I can try the rest of what you all have.
