Be aware that the wait time for a table is usually somewhere between 45 minutes to an hour if you go during happy hour and don't have a reservation. If you go during happy hour all the pizzas are $10 instead of $20 and there are other deals that I did not use during my time there. If you are going for the pizzas I highly recommend waiting until happy hour because I do not believe that the pizzas are worth the 20 some dollars that they are originally priced at. The pizzas are your typical artisans pizzas, they are on the smaller side and thinner. Focusing more on the specific flavors and quality rather than quantity. The dessert was also good. The general feel of the restaurant was nice and calming. Even though all the the tables seemed to be booked it didn't seem to be overwhelming to me. We sat outside.

We were looking forward to dinner here. The reviews are great. However; the experience left us wanting our money back. We waited almost 45 minutes just for a table at the bar. After we were seated, we looked around, there were plenty of empty tables available in the main dining area. I ordered a fish sandwich for $21.95. (French fries are $3 more) I passed on the fries. When the sandwich came out, I know I had a look of shock. It was like a fish sandwich slider. It was about the size of the palm of my hand. I asked the bartender if I could get the fries. He said he could but it would be $10 more instead of $3 since I didn’t order them with my meal. My wife’s meal was also less than expected. Honestly, $60 could have been better spent somewhere else. Out of all the restaurants we ate at over 9 days, Monkeypod was our only regret.

We had a great time at Monkeypod for dinner. Pros: Great service, family friendly and fun atmosphere, great drinks and good flavors. The only reason not to give five stars is the food was good but not fantastic. The fish was a tad over cooked and the deviled eggs were fairly plain. That being said it wouldn’t stop us from going there again and again! The wait was 45 minutes at 5pm on a Monday so clearly go early and put your name in.
