The lasagna was some of the absolute best I have ever had. I will say, you better make a reservation or you will feel the ire of management. Please understand, there is a workforce shortage, hand crafted food is made to order and food costs are very high....PLAN AHEAD.

Saw this quaint Italian cuisine restaurant in the center square of Taos, NM on a rainy Saturday evening. Didn’t have reservations, but hoped we could get a table for 2 at 6:30pm. Didn’t appear to be open, but a closer look into the windows shown patrons at candlelit tables. Website said closed, but really wasn’t. Walked in. Sign stated we needed to wait to be seated. Waited over 5 minutes while one wait staff did acknowledge us standing and waiting as well as the Italian proprietor of the restaurant—never once coming to greet us or ask us anything.There were 4 empty two-person candlelit tables. My husband and I finally grabbed two menus and a wine list and proceeded toward a empty table for 2. The owner then got up and asked us to wait to be seated. We said we had been waiting (as he fully knew), and no one had greeted us, yet had clearly acknowledged our presence. This stereotypical and smug owner rudely stated, “This isn’t McDonald’s where you seat yourself!” Of course, we tossed his menus and walked out. It’s so unfortunate that some restauranteurs are arrogant enough that only certain money is worth accepting, if you get my drift. It looks like such a quaint place with pretty good reviews. Well . . . Stella’s now has my review without even having tasted the food.

Best italian restaurant ever. Good prices, good service. There Italian sausage was excellent. Family owned and homemade Italian sausage and bread. Highly recommended this place. Make reservations.
