The Love Apple restaurant came across as both pretentious and disorganized. With all that going for it we figured the food would be pretty good, considering the online reviews. We ordered some tasty cornbread as an app. After that our salad and main dishes were ordinary at best. The trout wasn't hot and the meat was already lifting from the skin. The tacos were mostly fresh cabbage. I have nothing against cabbage except when it's in a bad taco. Everything we ordered was edible and extremely ordinary.

The Love Apple is beautiful, the staff are attentive and have great suggestions! I’ve had many of the dishes, and they are all excellent. My fave is the trout. Definitely worth an evening! Make a reservation :)

The best place in Taos for a magical romantic dinner. 90 percent organic, farm to table, delicious food, organic wines, served in a hundred year old building that was once a church and later was an alternative high school. Vie for a seat on the stage to feel extra special. To dine at the live apple is a rare privilege. This is where the important people go for special occasions. You’ll most likely need a reservation to get a table.
