I recently ate here for the third time this weekend and felt like it was finally time to leave a review. The atmosphere is amazing. I love the vibe of the restaurant and the staff are so friendly. My big issue with Tupelo Honey is their chicken and waffles portions. You get one piece of chicken and three waffles for $15-$17 (depending on which variety you order) and no sides. The piece of chicken I was served the other night was slightly larger than a chicken tender. The beauty of chicken and waffles is combining the savory chicken with the sweet waffle and syrup. But when you are served one small piece of chicken with three waffles, you instead get to enjoy the savory sweet combination for basically one waffle's worth of chicken and you're left to eat waffles without chicken for the remainder of your meal. I get that costs are crazy right now but $15 for a single piece of chicken, three small waffles and no side seems a little outrageous. I won't be ordering these again.

Let me tell you I am from South Carolina, so I’ve had my fair share of southern food. On top of that my boyfriend is a trained chef.. This was some of the best food we have ever had! We were in and out in 45 minutes. Service was great and food was even better!! The fried chicken was perfect and delicious and the grits were incredibly creamy. If you love pickles I highly recommend the fried pickles for an appetizer. Not to mention it’s so hard to find good sweet tea in the north, but the sweet tea here was perfect!! We will be back!

Cute little place if you wanna go out to eat downtown. Our server was really nice and tried to help us out to the best of her ability. Booked a reservation and was sat right away, the unfortunate part was that my friends chose to sit outside on the patio. (Which was decorated elegantly.) it was nice at first but when the sun was setting it was cold and windy and we asked our waitress if we could move inside but due to our mistakes it was an hour wait to get seated inside ): she did try her best and even offered a blanket to us too, which I thought was very sweet. We decided to just get our stuff to go so we can go home and eat where it was warm. Waitress was really nice and understanding too. My only complaint would be to put some sort of heaters outside that way more people can enjoy the patio. But over all good experience and tasty food 😊 I’ll be going back !
