When they say best sushi in Austin, they mean it! Mandy was one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had, and the food is absolutely incredible. Worth getting a reservation in advance or walking in at the beginning of happy hour. Highly recommend the Hot Rock and the Brussels Sprouts! Following up, 3 years later, I can’t than Niko enough for a fantastic evening! We were celebrating a couple special occasions and she took fantastic care of us. Uchi is an Austin classic!

I'm not going to lie. The food was great. A few downfalls... my whole family had to wait over an hour to be seated (we had reservations). They did try to make up the long wait time by bring free food outside for the family. When he finally got inside, we were seated... but then moved to difference table (not sure why). Then again more free food started coming. We did the chef special and everything was great. It was just odd that we had reservations but waited over an hour :( also, the table part. Would I go again? Yes! Just hopefully no long wait during our reservation in the freezing cold.

Top notch service, amazing food, and unique atmosphere! The food is tasting portions so you will need to get a couple items per person which I find fun! They have a great selection of vegan options and are very accommodating. The seating is very close together and you can hear people around you so just be aware of that. Prices are reasonable for the level of service and quality of food.
