This place is awesome! A little pricey, but the food is worth it! We have been here multiple times And they have never disappointed!! There have been times when they are busy, when we have waited quite some time for a seat! But that is to be expected at somewhere people like! Great place! Only negative- the water comes out in a fancy bottle, but it tastes like full on chlorine!! Hopefully that gets fixed, but may want to bring your own water! 🤷♂️🤙🤷♂️🤙

My wife and I look forward to dining at Jackie Rey's whenever we visit the Big Island. As usual, the service was excellent. Our spring roll appetizer was outstanding. My wife ordered clam linguine for $30.00 which included a generous portion of clams on a steaming bed of angel hair pasta. She enjoyed her linguine and would recommend it to others. So far so good... until my BBQ rib plate arrived. It included four meatless pork ribs (the pig must have been on a diet when it was slaughtered), a meager portion of dry coleslaw topped with pineapple relish, and a depression era serving of French fries. My plate of disappointment cost $32.00. My meal was below the standard and value I'd come to expect at Jackie Rey's. It might have been acceptable as a $16.00 happy hour dish but definitely not as a dinner entree.

My husband and I live in Kona and we believe no week is complete without a visit to Jackie Rey's. We love the people and the food. ALL the staff members are very warm and welcoming and the food is always great. We love sitting at the bar because we get to enjoy the meal with others -- other "guests" as well as the bar crew. (We enjoy our other meals by ourselves at home.) Aloha, Cindy and Bill Armer
