I Should start by saying I was a party of one and was happy to sit at the bar vs a 35 min wait for a table. I was greeted immediately by the bartender who took my drink and food order, I ordered a Cobb salad and a glass of wine and the salad was out in like 5 mins. Bartenders continued to make sure I had everything but not bothersome. Nice views, mellow vibe and all staff I worked with were great. Awesome Sunset that night too

Our family met in Kona for Thanksgiving and took a chance on our first ever pick up holiday dinner. Papa Kona’s outdid our greatest expectations. Delicious, complete, very “home cooked” taste and presentation, generous portions. A+ from all of us (4 great cooks with very high cuisine standards). Definitely deserves 5 stars.

While visiting The Big Island, this is a must-go-to. The food is well-prepared, the view of the ocean is stunning, the staff are friendly, and the environment comfortable. Prices are comparable to other local restaurants, and the food portions are not too much or too little. They feature entrees with a "catch of the day," as well as other meats (pulled pork was especially mouth-watering). The mixed drinks were particularly well-crafted. We went twice in one week while on honeymoon, and it was the only place we visited twice.
