I loved this spot! My friends and I were visiting the Big Island and decided to swing by here for happy hour. It was so wonderful to get a $5 well drink and glass of wine, when most drinks might typically costs $10+ if it were not for happy hour. The spot is also situated right on the water, so we had a great ocean view. Large umbrellas shaded the outdoor seated area, which added some much-needed shade to our table. Our server was kind and quick. I'd definitely come back!

We were searching for a relaxed place by the water and spotted this place along the water. Our overall experience was great, from the wait at the bar to the actual table. Our waiter was a Cuban man (his name escapes me). His service was stellar and changed this from a good lunch to a great dining experience! His knowledge of the area was great he directed us to a local beach about thirty min from his establishment which for into our schedule perfectly. The food was good and the drinks even better. A wonderful experience that changed my perspective regarding the big island.

Ok, so the reason I gave this restaurant a 3 on the scale of 5 is that they jacked the menu pricing up quite significantly over the past year, yet when you go and order an item, now, it’s not quite what you’re expecting. I ordered a “heart of palm” salad for two that was advertised as a “heart of palm”, yet had hardly ANY shavings of the heart included. Not even enough to taste. We’ve got coconut palms coming out our ears on the island, but they’re too cheap to add any amount you can enjoy? Also, the soup was mostly flour clumps indicating filler, not substance... we ordered the ribs, which was phenomenal, so I didn’t ding you for that... So, this restaurant seems to have gone to the tourists and capitalism some, so if you don’t mind spending money for an experience, then come here. Surely the service was fine, and the view is great, but the restaurant could opt to up the quality of some of their dishes... the quality of soup and salad kept me from ordering any of the dinner entrees.. Last yr, I brought my family there for 250 bucks and it was outstandingly awesome... this yr, I’m not sure I wanna spend 400 bucks to feed 7 people next week... especially when corners seem to be getting cut...
