We came in on a Sunday night so a lot of the menu was unavailable, but what we did have was amazing! I forgot to get pictures but so good! We had some delicious east coast oysters and there was plenty to choose from. The calamari was the most tender, buttery, delectable, melt in your mouth magic I have ever had! I've never had calamari I remotely liked but keep trying as I heard it's easy to cook wrong. These guys hit it out of the park!!! Can't wait to go back on a night that they can offer more of their menu!

When you make a reservation for 5 you shouldn’t have to specify that you want a table. I was told to sit at a bar for my reservation which was made over 1 week ago. When the manager came by instead of offering us a table which was empty which could accommodate my party I was told they couldn’t do anything until 7:30pm 1.5 hours after my initial reservation. Now the fact that my family and I are Asian and the manager was white shouldn’t play into anything however I can’t help but wonder if my family was white then they would have been more accommodating especially with 2 small kids ages 5 and 7. I will never go to another Jax restaurant again. I suggest people avoid this specific restaurant located in Colorado Springs. There are plenty of other restaurants that won’t discriminate our family.

Very expensive. I understand seafood is expensive but if it's going to cost $20-30 dish it should be amazing and this was not. I got the gumbo (cheapest thing on menu $15) and it was salty - barely had shrimp in it. My boyfriend got the lobster roll which was hearty but cost $28, my boyfriend had 1 beer, we got calamari which was good but the sauce was very garlicy. I got a half wedge salad $8 (for simply iceberg lettuce with a little dressing) at the end we paid over $80 for dinner and I wasn't able to eat my food. I would not be complaining about the $ if the food was outstanding and worth it. Nothing special.
