This part of the island is characterized by a lot of overpriced restaurants either directly in hotels or aimed at tourists. You could eat there, or you could instead get excellent, reasonably priced Japanese food at Moa, which also has a great sake list. I recommend Moa.

Really enjoyed this place! Process was fast. They were safe with providing temperature checks and then sat us down. The waitress was nice and knowledgeable. The food was good and had lots of flavor. If you’re in Waimea and looking for a unique place to get a bite to eat, this is a must stop.

The sushi was super fresh and delicious. Service was good. The order took a little longer than expected, but overall it was a pleasant experience. Great waitstaff.
