Enjoyed our lunch at The Fish and The Hog. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food was served quickly and well prepared. Gumbo and cornbread was delicious. Fish tacos were great. Fries has a good seasoning. Brisket sandwich was tasty. Banana cream pie was delicious. Overall the best dining experience we’ve had during our Big Island stay.

Great, great, great delicious meals at reasonable prices. You will not be disappointed. The moment you walk into the restaurant you will be hooked on staying for dinner because the aroma of the food will grab your senses and tug you to a table. Staff is friendly, service is wonderful. Plenty of parking. Nice grounds around the restaurant.

This was a new discovery for us this trip to the big island. Is was so good the first time that we went back a second time. I have had ribs all over the main land and these ribs were (do I dare say) the best I have ever had. I also tried the beef brisket Mac and Cheese and WOW! I only could eat half but the other half made a nice lunch the next day. The banana cream pie—well sorry I don’t see what everyone is raving about. It was good, but not the best I have had. I was a little mushy texture wise, bananas not identifiable. Hubby had the ribs and chicken he agrees that the ribs were the BEST. However the chicken was good but average. He enjoyed his meal. Potato salad was a bit dilly for me. Onion Rings are heavily battered so very filling but very yummy! The fries are crispy and awesome—they were crispy on the out side and soft on the inside. Definitely will return next year!
