Is it me or did the portion size become extremely small since they remodeled, my cell phone was larger then my slice of fish, i was served one small potato along side my halibut that was burnt to a crisp and i could floss my teeth with the size of the asparagus i was served. This was our second time back since the remodel and I can tell you for the prices of there entrees these meals were horrible. Not to mention the waitress forgot my husbands salad until he asked to make sure it wasn’t on the bill. They ran out of the soup I ordered and only mentioned it when the rest of the table was eating their appetizers. I’m going to pass on coming back especially when those are much better restaurants brand new in Buffalo.

Date night is always a thing we commit to in our relationship. With the rigors of life and the absorbent amount of time consumed with our careers- it is something we look forward to. Mother's is a hidden gem on Virginia place Downtown Buffalo, Ny & is the epitome of a great find. I've always look for clues of quality places with the way they set their tables and how it is presented to the customer/consumer. Even down to the smallest details because I am detail oriented. Clean cloth towels instead of napkins let's me know what kind of establishment I'm in. Mother's uses cloth! That's something that matters to me. As far as the experience from start to finish in a nutshell; here it is... When we called prior to be accommodated on reservations- the scheduling individual on the phone was polite and courteous. When we arrived there was ample amount of street parking. When entering the establishment we were seated expeditiously. Water was filled as soon as our waiter seen that it needed to be and as scheduled a table ready for our reservation. There was a subtle nostalgic music playing in a background. There was a candle lit at our cloth covered table as well as clean silverware and dishware. They was a vast assortment of wine selections and beverages on the menu that were available for our consumption. From appetizers to entree's everything was visually intoxicating and prepared with pride. So the taste, temperature, texture and presentation was up to par. To me it's all about creating an experience for the consumer. Making sure that they feel like they matter and that their business is appreciated. Giving them such a great experience that they would want to return and bring residual income as well as positive feedback by word-of-mouth to their friends and relatives. I feel that without a shadow of a doubt that that has been accomplished by their team that evening from start to finish. Thank you so very much mother for making our making our evening a stellar one.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to give a shout out to the staff of Mothers. I'm new to Buffalo and currently on a fairly restrictive diet for health reasons -finding restaurants that I feel safe eating at has been a bit stressful - I'm so happy we chose to try Mothers last night. Our server Crystal(spelling?) was amazing. Her knowledge of the menu and her willingness to check with the kitchen on whether menu items were safe or could be modified was top notch. I can't wait to visit again, hopefully with fewer restrictions so that I can enjoy the fabulous menu as intended.
